Membership Referral Program

Sambahayan Consumers Cooperative proudly introduces its Membership Referral Program, designed to recognize and reward our active members. Under this program, any current cooperative member who successfully refers a potential member, leading to their successful enrollment, will receive a referral reward valued at P500. This reward will be granted as a credit, exclusively applicable for purchasing products from our cooperative store. We believe in the power of our members to help grow our cooperative community, and this program is our way of showing appreciation for their valuable contributions.

PURPOSE

This referral reward program serves various advantageous purposes, including:

1. Stimulating members to actively participate in broadening the cooperative’s membership base.
2. Enhancing the cooperative’s spirit of community and cooperation.
3. Recognizing and valuing members for their contributions to the cooperative’s development and sustainability.

ELIGIBILITY

All active cooperative members in good standing are eligible to participate in the referral reward program. Members are considered active members in all of the following instances: 

1. Members who are declared in good standing or member entitled to vote; 
2. Members whose whereabouts are known and can be contacted by the cooperative, whenever necessary; 
3. Members who have record of transactions and/or patronizing any or all business/es of the cooperative regularly; and
4. Members who are actively and consistently participating in the activities/affairs of the cooperative.

REFERRAL PROCEDURE

To be eligible for the referral reward, referring members must submit the necessary details of the potential member through the membership/education and training committee. The cooperative will then validate the information and monitor the progress of the referred member through the membership application process.

The referred member must successfully fulfill the membership application requirements, meet the defined eligibility standards, and satisfy any obligatory membership fees for the referring member to be eligible for the referral reward. 

MEMBERSHIP APPROVAL

The following membership requirements of the referred member must be fulfilled

1. Membership Form (SCC Form 01-2023)
2. Pre-Membership Education Seminar Cert. of Completion
3. Membership Fee (PHP 200)
4. Minimum Share Capital (min. of PHP 5,000)
5. Membership & Subscription Agreement (SCC Form 02-2023)
6. Photocopy of 2 Valid IDs

REWARD DISBURSEMENT

Upon the approval of the referred member’s membership application and the receipt of the corresponding membership fees, the referral reward amount of Five Hundred Pesos (P500) will be credited to the referring member’s cooperative account. This credit can be exclusively utilized for purchasing products from the cooperative store. Please note that the mentioned reward amount of Five Hundred Pesos (P500) is non-transferable to other members, nor is it convertible to cash. This also cannot be used as payment for members’ capital build-up.

TRANSPARENCY

The cooperative is committed to maintaining transparent records of all referral activities and reward disbursements. Members are encouraged to inquire about their referral statuses and associated reward credits at any point.

CUMULATIVE REWARDS

The referral reward program offers cumulative benefits. A referring member qualifies for a one-time reward credit of P500 for every successful referral made, limited to a maximum of five (5) referrals per month by the same member.

EFFECTIVITY

Effective September 1, 2023, the cooperative introduced a referral reward program designed to recognize and appreciate the active involvement of our esteemed members in expanding our cooperative community. This program will run until December 2023.
