Join Our Blood Donation Event in Partnership with the Philippine Red Cross

Dear Sambahayan Consumers Cooperative Members,

We extend a warm invitation to all our members to be part of a meaningful endeavor that can save lives and make a positive impact on our community. Sambahayan Consumers Cooperative is proud to announce our Blood Donation Event, conducted in partnership with the Philippine Red Cross.

Date: October 7, 2023

Time: 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Venue: Philippine Red Cross – San Pablo City Chapter at #1 Rizal Avenue, Brgy. VII-C, San Pablo City, 4000 Laguna

Donating blood is a simple yet powerful act of kindness that can truly make a difference. By participating in this event, you have the opportunity to give the gift of life to someone in need.

Basic Requirements for Blood Donation (as per the Philippine Red Cross):

1. Age: Be between 18 and 65 years old.
2. Weight: Weigh at least 50 kilograms (110 pounds).
3. Health: Be in good health on the day of donation.
4. Identification: Bring a valid photo ID.
5. Fasting: Eat a light meal before donating.
6. Travel History: If you recently traveled, please provide details.

Preparation before donating blood

1. Have enough rest and sleep.
2. No alcohol intake 24 hours prior to blood donation.
3. No medications for at least 24 hours prior to blood donation.
4. Have something to eat prior to blood donation, and avoid fatty food.
5. Drink plenty of fluid, like water or juice.
