What is Capital Build-up program?

To promote continuous capital build-up, each member shall invest in the share capital of the cooperative by subscribing for a minimum of Two Hundred (200) shares, with a total amount of Twenty Thousand Pesos (PHP 20,000). Members are required to make payment for this amount either in a lump sum or through regular installments.

If paying in installments, the member is required to make a payment of at least the value of Fifty (50) shares, amounting Five Thousand Pesos (PHP 5,000), on or before the approval of the membership and subscription agreement. The remaining balance shall then be paid through regular monthly installments of a minimum of Five Hundred Pesos (PHP 500) until the total subscribed amount of PHP 20,000 is fully paid.

What is the capital structure of the cooperative for all members?

PHP 100 = Par Value per Share
PHP 50 = Paid-up Shares (Initial payment upon approval of membership)
PHP 20,000 = 200 Subscribed Shares (Minimum Share Capital that a regular member shall subscribe)

How much is the initial payment for membership?

You need to pay the following once your membership has been approved
Membership Fee (Php 200)
Minimum Share Capital (Php 5000)
Monthly Subscribed Capital which start from month of membership (Minimum of Php 500)

What is Patronage Refund (Balik Tangkilik)?

The principle of Patronage Refund is a principle of equity wherein an equal right of members to participate in the organization and to equitably share in the benefits accruing there from is established. Under this principle, the Net Surplus shall not be construed as profit, but as excess payments made by them from the cooperative and which shall be deemed to have been returned to them if the same is distributed as prescribed by R.A. 9520 (Cooperative Code of the Philippines).

What are the duties and responsibilities of members?

Pay the installment of his/her share capital subscription as it falls due and to participate in the capital build-up and savings mobilization activities of the Cooperative;
Patronize the Cooperative’s business(es) and services;
Participate in the membership education programs and other activities and affairs of the Cooperative;
Attend and participate in the deliberation of all matters taken during General Assembly meetings;
Observe and obey all lawful orders, decisions, rules and regulations adopted by the Board of Directors and the General Assembly;
